Two restaurant workers arrested for being in the country illegally
TWO restaurant workers were arrested for being in the country illegally.
Immigration officers visited Lalezar, a Turkish restaurant, in Halstead’s High Street.
Checks revealed two men from Uzbekistan were working in breach of their visa conditions.
The men, 26 and 20, have been detained until they can be removed from the UK.
No-one from Lalezar responded to our request for a comment.
