Swimmer treated for hypothermia following Boxing Day dip in West Mersea
A SWIMMER was rescued by lifeboat crews after getting into difficulties during West Mersea's Boxing Day dip.
West Mersea RNLI pulled the woman from the water, close to Monkey Beach, at about 12.05pm.
She was handed over to the ambulance service for treatment for mild hypothermia and asthma.
