The boss of Colchester’s four McDonald’s has raised £2,000 on a charity walk between the fast-food restaurants.
Franchisee Craig Newnes, from Frinton, was joined by a team of staff members for the ten-mile walk.
Mr Newnes, Emma Howes, Zoey Bardell, Georgina Corbett and head office boss Keilly Newbould started at the Tollgate restaurant.
They walked to the High Street branch, before heading to Cowdray Avenue and finishing up at the golden arches, near Colchester United’s stadium.
The route took the walkers four hours. Events were also held in the fast-food restaurants throughout the day.
The event was organised to celebrate the anniversary of children’s charity, Ronald McDonald House.
Mr Newnes said: “The challenge was tough, but we managed to walk to all four restaurants in four hours.
“We also had in-store activities with face painting, fancy dress and bucket collections. Well done to everyone for ensuring we celebrated our fabulous charity in style.”
