RESIDENTS have come out in force to protest against plans to expand their village by nearly a quarter.
Developer Taylor Wimpey will unveil proposals to build 145 homes on land off Cockaynes Lane, Alresford, at a public meeting next week.
With a further 50 homes already earmarked for land off St Andrews Close, residents fear the near 200 homes proposed is too much for a village with just 810 houses and flats.
Jane Lee, of the Cockaynes Action Group, said the scope and the proposed site were both wrong.
