A TOUR of the Daily Gazette’s office and the chance to see their work in print is up for grabs for three talented young writers.

Youngsters at secondary schools in Colchester, East Bergholt and Sudbury are invited to write a 300 to 400- word article on something local which is packed full of facts, figures, quotes and a photograph.

The best work will win the entrant a Kindle Fire HD, worth £120, plus £100 of Amazon vouchers for their school.

The runner-up will get £50 of vouchers for themselves, while third place will receive £25. The top three winners will be shown around the Gazette’s Colchester office before seeing their articles published in the newspaper.

The articles will be judged by Sally Anderson-Wai, of Write Wai PR and Copywriting Services.

The competition, run by Write Wai and Tutor Doctor Colchester North, will run until October 27.

Each article should be sent to ccracknell@tutordoctor.co.uk along with a 200-word piece of writing explaining why the subject matter was chosen.
