A widow plans to take legal action after her husband died an hour after returning home on Christmas Eve.

Terence Tatum, 54, had been discharged from hospital after having emergency bowel surgery, but he died an hour after returning home to Holmes Road, Halstead, on December 24, 2012.

At an inquest into his death on Tuesday, Essex Coroner Caroline Beasely-Murray recorded he died of natural causes.

However, his wife, Miranda Tatum, and her solicitor confirmed they are considering taking legal action against Colchester Hospital, where he was treated.

Colchester hospital and death by natural causes?
Seems very unlikely, considering their track record and alarming death rates!
