A FAMILY will live in Colchester’s Firstsite centre next week - all in the name of art.
Lawrence Bradby, partner Anna Townley and their three daughters will eat, sleep, wash, work and play at the £28 million centre’s learning studio from this Sunday until the following Saturday.
Generous Firstsite staff have donated two large tents and a series of futons and sleeping bags to call home, although they will have to trudge to the other side of the building to use its only shower.
Townley and Bradby, with their three daughters aged nine, six and two, will spend their days working around their temporary home and their evenings exploring the town.
For three hours each day, they will open the doors of the studio open to the public and hold a series of free summer holiday workshops for families with primary school age children.
