Told off and reprimanded.
If that was 12 cars racing down the high street, then wheel spinning handbrake turns at the VAF to pass the one way system, I wonder how many reprimands would have been given out then?
I suppose its all good fun on the water once a year though!

Over G. These numpties should have their jetskis taken away from them and the sooner our lilly livered politicians realise that the chavs can jump on these machines and put other peoples lives on the water at risk and legislate against this the better.
I've witnessed a few of these idiots a bit further up the coast off Holland Haven when I've been taking a stroll on a Sunday. They have clear waters off Frinton/Walton but do they go haring off down that bit of the coast ? NO they need to prove they need to make up for their obvious inadequacies in the manhood area by tearing into a fleet of sailing dinghies which judging by the age groups I've seen launching their boats quite often includes a large number of kids.

They should be disciplined .. they ignore the waterway by-laws & as if that's not bad enough when kids who aren't old enough to have a drivers license get on a jet ski alone .. it's scary! Jet skiers are dangerous to themselves as well as everyone else using the water at high tide!!
On East Mersea I've witnessed people having to get out of the water quickly when jet skis come in close to shore at speed, near collisions with other jet skis, sailing boats, canoeists & speed boats (people in speed boats can be just as bad as jet skiers).
In the mid summer jet skiers have been know to be out at sun up if the tide is high at the time. It's as if there's no common sense and respect all round .. no matter what walk of life jet skiers come from!!

Too right. Scoot has the right idea: confiscate their jetskis, and either crush them, or return them after 10 years, by which time perhaps these Romford Navy types may have grown up a bit.

Don't understand why they were only reprimanded. Why were these idiots not given tickets, like traffic.tickets. Obviously, they don't care about the rules or peoples lives and just MAYBE if they have to pay heavy fines there's a chance, allbeit slim, that they may think twice before they act so stupid.

Maybe a better deterrent would be to fit the Colne Ranger as an MTB with torpedoes and depth charges, and crew her with Royal Marine Commandos. Zero tolerance on the water....

Nice idea, but we'd need Her Majesty's Government to issue a formal declaration of war on the Romford Navy, I can't see that happening.

Well... I been at east Mersea for years and the jet ski situation has just got worse. I'm on fen farm and they don't allow jet skis however on Saturday and Sunday there were 2 from cosway 1 especially with a young lad on it speed from there past fen farm with swimmers in the water. There was also 2 small dinghys out coming past cosway and the jet ski with the young lad on it just literally speeding past them turning around fast which looked like inches away the owners was not best pleased! Also coopers beach jet skis getting on from the beach and racing off but in recent weeks they have got better .but for the red and black jet ski from cosway I'm sorry but before long and I hate to say this but there is going to be a fatality soon and I don't want to see this. The coast guard should do more about this we have 8knot restrictions from the beach to the buoys and a warning should be skipped and a fine should be issued straight away. All it comes down too is they see people on the beach and they have to show off I'm sorry no need for this! End of rant
