Beneficiaries of a charity run have come forward to back the cause.
Gazette reporters John Hyde and Jonathan Schofield are preparing to run a half-marathon next month for two community causes.
One is the Harwich Electric Palace cinema appeal, while the other is raising money to send disabled Manningtree girl Lea Clarke for important treatment.
Both have come forward to urge as many people as possible to back the racing reporters - who will be dressed as Batman and Robin as an added humiliation.
