A plan has been put forward to bring a dash of colour to Dovercourt seafront.

Before Christmas rosebeds, were ripped up by Tendring Council - leaving the area messy and uninviting for residents and tourists alike.

Now a suggestion has been put forward for a permanent garden site, where people can plant a tree or bush to remember loved ones or celebrate current community figures.

The idea came from prolific letter writer and poet Collin Rossini, who called for residents to take the care of their town into their own hands.
