Two successful walking bus schemes have helped a north Essex school to achieve healthy status.
Dedham Church of England Primary School received its Healthy Schools Award at the start of the new term after meeting all the criteria.
The school has a good record of teaching children about personal health, including drug and alcohol misuse, healthy eating, physical exercise and looking after their emotional wellbeing.
Headteacher Carolyn Clayton said: "We are obviously delighted to achieve this prestigious award as it reflects the hard work and dedication of the school's staff."
