A development charity is facing a second challenge to its future.
Just two months after launching a successful appeal for new members to keep it running, Traders Fair World Shop and Development Education Essex (Deel) has been given its marching orders from its base in Museum Street, Colchester, in a second blow.
Traders Fair sells Fair Trade food, crafts and gifts, as well as environmentally-friendly cleaning products.
Deel works to raise awareness of development issues, running workshops and providing educational material to schools and community groups.
Director Sue Fox said: "We are on short notice to leave, and the landlord has asked us to be out by the end of March. We are in negotiation with the landlord and hope to extend that month by a month.
"The landlord has planning permission to redevelop the site. He has indicated he might be willing to offer us premises when the work is done, but when will that be?"
- Anyone who can offer premises to Traders Fair can call Mrs Fox on 01206 763380.
