A COUPLE were threatened by what police described as a "sword-type weapon" when a gang forced their way into their home.
Three men entered into the property in Elm Grove, Clacton, around 11pm, and were discovered by the husband.
They then threatened his wife, before searching a bedroom and stealing several watches including two Rolex watches, designer belts and cash, a PS3 and a 32ins Samsung TV.
Two of the men were black, the other white, and all had their faces covered with scarves.
The black men were aged 20 to 25, one about 6ft tall and of medium build.
The white man was similar age but large build and wearing a grey hoody.
Dc Lee Winfield, who is investigating, said: "I want to hear from anyone who knows who is responsible. I also want to hear from anyone who is offered the items above to buy.”
The incident happened on Friday, June 20.
