COMMUTERS faced delays of up to two hours after a train broke down at Chelmsford earlier this afternoon.
The train, travelling from London Liverpool Street, to Norwich broke down in Chelmsford at about 4pm.
A rescue engine was arranged for the broken down train and Greater Anglia reported that engineers had also been sent down immediately to investigate the issue.
Passengers had to be let off the train by about 6.30 while the problem was still under investigation.
Bus replacement services were arranged and Greater Anglia tickets were also being accepted on London Underground.
The broken down train once again on the move to Norwich at about 7.15pm and services out of London Liverpool Street continued with severe delays.
