Graffiti artists have started to tag Frinton.
It is the latest in a catalogue of antisocial activity to blight the town in recent months.
Police want to identify who is spraying the distinctive graffiti signatures, known as tags, as soon as possible.
They have appealed to anyone who can help identify them.
- Anyone who might have seen anything is asked to call Clacton police on 01255 221312.
