Heartbroken family’s tribute to Amber, 18

First published in News

THE parents of a teenager who died suddenly have said she was unique and one of a kind.

Amber Skingley, 18, of High Street, Brightlingsea, died on Monday.

Her mum Sam, 42, said she wants her daughter to be remembered as the bubbly and fun person she was.

She said: “Everyone loved her for just the way she was. She was just Amber.

“She wore her heart on her sleeve.

“She could be in a room with so many people and she would be the one who really stood out.

“She wasn’t a follower. She was her own person."

Very sad. Around 2000 persons die each day in the UK...some elderly, some young, but most having had the opportunity and ability to accept Jesus as Saviour. What eternal regret there will be, if they didn't.

I think CO6 Resident , you need to look at yourself in the mirror and ask '' is it the right time to preach about religion''
Completely uncalled for and I am sure the poor family are being cared for by there friends & family at this tragic time.
I do not know them but send them my condolences
RIP Amber

I am not here to judge anyone's beliefs, but seriously. This is neither the time nor the place to be preaching your beliefs. This is about the tragic and untimely death of a young woman. Show a bit more respect. Rest in peace Amber, thoughts to all family and friends.

I'm sure you will have eternal regret when you get to the end of your life and realise you wasted it, preaching a being that doesn't exist and p****** so many people off about it! Haha!

I was a friend of Amber's and I find all this squabbling and arguing totally disrespectful to the memory of an amazing young woman who touched my life and countless others and sadly isn't with us anymore to make us laugh and cry. I only knew her for a few months but in that time I discovered that she was the warmest and kindest person I ever met and seeing the tributes paid to her on Facebook, it looks like I was one of the dozens of people who feel that way. I'd hate to think how her parents or brothers would feel if they read some of the comments on this article. Rest in peace beautiful and keep shining down on us.
