A WOMAN had to be cut out of her car after suffering a back injury in a car crash.

Emergency services were called to Simons Lane, Colchester, at about 1.30pm yesterday/Thursday.

A black Vauxhall Golf and a grey Fiat 500 were involved in the accident.

Firefighters spent 45 minutes working to free the woman, who is believed to be in her 50s.

She was taken to Colchester General Hospital for treatment.

Her injuries are not thought to be serious.

The scene was cleared by 3.30pm.

I saw this accident - was only a minor one - driver managed to drive her car upon to the kerb after it happened - then had to be cut free - residents of Simons lane and magdalen green were not allowed out of their road
