AN aspiring dancer has been denied the chance to take the subject at GCSE after not enough people signed up for the course, it has been claimed.
Paris Lands, 13, wanted to study the BTEC course at Harwich and Dovercourt High School.
But was told only six people have asked to take the subject,which allows students to work towards either a BTEC or GCSE depending on ability, with a minimum of ten pupils needed.
Her mother Tracy, of William Bleakley Mews, Great Oakley, said: “The girls and boys are absolutely heartbroken.”
Harwich and Dovercourt High School said they were currently finalising plans for their curriculum next year.
