FIREFIGHTERS took to the water on Easter Sunday as part of a regular aquatic training exercise.
The team of five from Darwen took part in the session in the Loyal Angling Club lake off Johnson New Road, Hoddlesden. They took turns to be rescued by other team members using various techniques.
Crew manager David Forth said: “We used several rope and rescue techniques during the exercise. It’s something that we do on a regular basis because we have to keep our skill set up, especially those that are not used as much as others.”
