FUNDING for two new primary schools in north Colchester will be rubber stamped by education bosses next Tuesday.

Essex County Council’s cabinet is to agree to fund £11.7 million for 420-space primary schools at New Braiswick Park and the former Severalls mental health hospital site.

They will open in September 2015 and 2016 respectively, and address a need for school places in the north of the town.

The cash comes from developer contributions, government grants and the council’s own coffers.
