VILLAGERS fear 170 new homes will not go to local families.
Bloor Homes’ plans for redevelopment of Rowhedge Wharf went on display yesterday.
If the plans go ahead, the properties would be sold privately, with none set aside as affordable housing.
Stuart Hurr, who lives near the proposed 4,500sq ft riverside development, said: “We desperately need homes for our children, not lovely, big, five-bed houses.
"The worry for a lot of people will be that the homes won’t be for us.”
