Police have issued an appeal for help after a little boy was found wandering alone in Barrack Street, Colchester.
The tot, who is aged about three or four, was found by a member of the public near Port Lane at 12.40pm today.
He is described as black and is wearing a black and beige jumper with a brown and blue check on the front, blue and white pyjama bottoms and socks. He was not wearing shoes.
Police officers are carrying out house to house inquiries whilst the boy is being looked after at Colchester Police Station.
Anybody with any information is asked to contact Colchester Police on 101 as soon as possible.
