A MAN is taking on a 280-mile bike ride in memory of his sister.
Chris Hamblion, from Langenhoe, will pedal from London to Paris for charity.
He is raising money for Breast Cancer Care after his sister Teresa Wright lost her own battle with cancer on July 1 2011, aged just 43 .
Chris, 43, said: “Since Teresa died I’ve tried to get myself a bit fitter and look after myself more as it was quite a shock.
“I’ve been riding properly for about 18 months.
“She left behind a much loved family and I thought this would be a good challenge to my fitness and a way of raising some money to help in the fight against breast cancer.
“I have done several local charity bike rides but nothing as daunting as what I am going to be doing.”
Chris has raised more than £3,000 so far, including a donation from his employers Lookers Ford in Colchester.
The ride takes place over four days in September.
