COLCHESTER has topped the national charts for internet shopping.
More residents in Britain's oldest recorded town are shopping online than anywhere else in the UK.
Out of four million online orders analysed by Royal Mail more are being made in Colchester followed by Lincoln, Brighton and Norwich.
Today has been unofficially named Cyber Monday with £900,000 expected to be spent online on Christmas shopping every minute.
