A SCI-FI superfan has transformed his front garden into a Doctor Who buff’s dreamworld.

Paul Friday’s St Osyth home already stood out due to the replica of the blue Tardis time machine next to his front door.

Now he has added to his collection to create a spectacular Doctor Who display.

Paul, 42, has been scouring auction website Ebay to find the perfect purchases.

He managed to get his hands on three full-sized Daleks as well as Cyberman and K-9 replicas, forking out between £650 and £1,000 for each.

Paul, of Manfield Gardens, said: “What started out as just a police box has turned into a bit of an exhibition.

“We are seeing quite a few Daleks coming up for sale.

“I have given them all a little spruce up and they look absolutely brilliant.

“Bizarrely everyone seems to quite like it. I took one of the Daleks into my garage for a bit of work and one of the neighbours actually asked after it.”

He added: “My wife thinks I’m nuts. She thinks I’m on a different planet sometimes but it’s a hobby that I enjoy and it keeps me out of trouble.”

Paul says he has been a fan of the show since he was seven and even gave his two daughters Doctor Who-inspired names, Leela Rose and Amy Romana.

Each Dalek stands at about 5ft 9ins tall, while the Cyberman is 6ft and the K-9 stands at 2ft.

Two of the Daleks are exact replicas from the Seventies TV series, while the third is from the Sixties films starring Peter Cushing.

Paul added: “It has become a bit of an attraction for people.

Ours must be the most photographed house in St Osyth.”

Paul has even fitted a voice modulator to one of the Daleks so he can speak through the model in the famous robotic tone from inside the house.
