A pensioner says his Christmas has been ruined by thieves who stole his mobility scooter.
Patrick O'Neill, of Great Clacton, left the £3,500 vehicle outside Somerfield in Clacton, then went to Our Lady of Light catholic church on the town's seafront.
The 73-year-old returned to find it had been stolen.
"It has broken my heart," said Mr O'Neill, who moved to Clacton five years ago.
"I thought we were in heaven when we came here, but it doesn't look like it now."
- Anyone who noticed anyone suspicious in the area or saw the scooter stolen between 10am and 2pm on Sunday should call Clacton police on 01255 221312 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
