A unique project to help disabled people find jobs faces closure, despite celebrating record success rates.
The six-month course gave people training and work experience with firms.
The scheme was run by learning disability charity Mencap, but now Government funding has dried up.
Mencap's Michala Wilkes said: "It's frustrating. At the moment there are no facilities for people with learning disabilities to get work experience, as well as working with trainers."
The scheme helped people from across the north of the county, including Colchester, Clacton and Witham.
The Department for Work and Pensions said the scheme had ended because there was not enough money.
A spokesman said training would be provided through the Learning and Skills Council and New Deal programme instead.
