Kind-hearted police officers entered into the Christmas spirit by rescuing a damsel in distress.
They were called to Asda supermarket in Turner Rise, Colchester, at 3am today after reports a woman had been found "shaken", "upset" and without any money.
Initial reports suggested she might have been attacked by two men, but the officers discovered she had missed her train stop and couldn't get home to Chelmsford.
The officers decided they would take her home to make sure she arrived safely.
