A bumper crowd turned out to make sure a civic carol service hit the high notes.
More than 700 people packed into Clacton's Princes Theatre for the town's Rotary Club concert.
Organisers were worried that Sunday shoppers would shun the annual singalong in favour of popping out to buy presents, but the turnout was higher then last year.
