Residents in Tiptree are preparing to do battle against plans to build 17 flats.
Developers want to demolish the old medical centre in Church Road.
The proposed three-storey building will include one and two-bedroom flats and an office retail unit.
Residents living close by are against the plan, saying that it will be "out of character".
