Shoplifters have been told not to bother visiting Clacton this festive season.
Operation Christmas Cracker exploded into action with 14 arrests, more than 25 detections and dozens more crimes thwarted in the first week.
The annual operation sees police stepping up high-visibility patrols in the town centre and deploying plain clothes officers in and around shops.
