Shoppers braved the elements to visit the first of a town's Victorian Evenings.
Despite the cold winds and threat of rain, hundreds of visitors packed into Maldon High Street to enjoy the festivities for the 22nd year running.
Shops were decked out in Christmas decorations and window displays had a Victorian theme, battling it out for the prize for best dressed Victorian visitor and the best dressed Victorian sales person.
- The second Victorian Evening will be held on Thursday from 6.30pm until 9.30pm when the same range of entertainment will be on offer.
