A POLICE hunt has been launched after a man was attacked by a gang for just £20.
The 21-year-old man was walking home in the early hours when he was accosted by four men.
They punched him several times before stealing his mobile phone and less than £20 in cash.
The unprovoked attack happened at about 3am on Saturday in Whaley Road which the man was using as a short cut between St Andrew’s Avenue and Greenstead Road, Colchester.
Anyone with information in connection with the robbery is urged to contact detectives at Colchester police station on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
