ANGLIAN Water has apologised to Colchester residents for a waste water odour problem.
Emergency works are currently taking place at the Colchester Treatment Works.
A statement from the company said a masking system was in place to minimise the smell and apologised for the inconvenience caused.
There are no issues around the safety of drinking water.
