A PROPOSAL to install a crawler lane on the A12 at Marks Tey will be debated next week.
Rodney Bass, county councillor for highways, wants lorries to only use the slow lane between Marks Tey and Boreham from 6am to 10pm.
The Conservative member has submitted a motion calling on the Highways Agency to introduce the trial measure and if successful install it permanently.
It also calls on Essex MPs to back the measure.
- A full meeting of Essex County Council will vote on the motion when it sits on Tuesday.
