OWNERS of a historic club, which has been rebuilt, are seeking a new licence.
The Colchester’s Officers’ Club, in St John’s Green, was destroyed in a blaze in 2010.
Work began earlier this year on a replacement building and it is due to open next month.
Owners have now applied to Colchester Council for a licence to sell alcohol from 9am to 12midnight Monday to Saturday and until 11pm on Sundays.
Colchester Council has the final say.
