A school which grew enough tomatoes in its greenhouse to feed every pupil has won a brace of awards.
Teachers applied for funding from the Environment Agency to buy the greenhouse for Broomgrove Infant School, in Broome Grove, Wivenhoe.
Pupils filled it with healthy produce after starting a gardening club, led by school caretaker Steve Stocking.
Bosses sent a plaque to mark the success of the project, and headteacher Paula Wiltshire is also celebrating the school's recent accreditation under the Healthy Schools initiative, which rewards efforts to promote exercise and healthy eating.
