THIEVES have got away with electrical items and jewellery after a house burglary in Colchester.
Police are asking to speak with anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour in the Ipswich Road area on Friday between midday and 5pm.
Access to a house was gained by an insecure door and a search of the property was conducted before more than a £1,000 worth of property was taken.
Items stolen include a pair of gold diamond stud earrings, a blue Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop, a sliver chain necklace with mauve, pink, aqua green and silver coloured balls attached and a matching bracelet.
Thieves also took a a silver chain necklace with silver and black balls and matching bracelet, a pair of silver earrings with small diamond effect hoops, and a silver chain necklace with an oval shaped multi-coloured stone pendant with an ‘S’ shape on the back.
Detectives wish to speak to anyone who is offered similar items for sale or who has any other information about the burglary. If you have any information call Colchester CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
