A BOUTIQUE in Colchester’s prestigious Crouch Street is offering to pay for customer’s car parking fees in a bid to boost trade.
Ambiance of Colchester says it will refund the cost of parking in nearby St Mary’s car park to anyone buying items from the shop costing at least £50.
The trail-blazing initiative is part of the shop's efforts to encourage shoppers to enjoy a bit of retail therapy - instead of just shopping on line.
Melissa Wheeler, Ambiance's head of marketing, said it was one way of fighting to preserve small independent shops.
