COPS have warned they will clamp down hard on an unofficial school leavers’ party.
In the past, year 11 pupils from Colne Community School, Brightlingsea, have held wild celebrations marking the end of exams.
The event is usually held in Wivenhoe at a popular play area, known as the Venny, and on farm land without the owner’s permission.
Essex Police has written to parents, who may be unaware of “Venny Night”, encouraging them to speak to their children and warn them of the possible consequences of taking part including criminal records.
