MORE than 30 residents have objected to plans to build a care home extension.
Owner Davard Care Homes plans to demolish a bungalow to build the ten-room extension to Welshwood Care Home, in Welshwood Park Road, in Colchester.
But 34 letters of objection have been submitted to Colchester Council, which will decide on the application in June.
Residents have objected on a number of grounds, including increased traffic, the loss of a tree, unsuitable location, design and existing sewerage problems.
Neither Anglian Water nor Essex County Council, as the highways authority, have objected to the proposals.
An initial planning application was submitted in September last year, but was withdrawn.
