BOAT owners are being urged to lock up their motors after a break-in in Brightlingsea.
Essex Police are advising people to make sure outboard motors are secure following the raid.
Burglars broke into a boat repair firm on Waterside in the town on Wednesday stealing four engines worth thousands of pounds.
Officers are promoting the force’s Marine Watch scheme ahead of the summer season, and boat owners can register their kit to help identify it if it is stolen.
