100 JOBS are set to go from an insurance firm’s Colchester office.
Equity Insurance Group, which has 300 employees at its Bergholt Road office, is to cull 200 jobs nationally as part of a company restructure.
Up to 100 staff at the Colchester unit will be transferred under the plans to other centres in Brentwood and Swansea.
Staff who did not want to move would be offered redundancy or other roles, and a company spokesman said Equity would be working to keep job losses to a minimum.
