ELDERLY passengers ‘could wet themselves’ if toilets at the new bus station are not opened longer.
That was the stark warning from a council committee who described the facility as “not fit for purpose”.
Operator First Buses also said the company had to work with what it had.
Members of Colchester Council’s Strategic Overview and Scrutiny Panel were scathing of the bus station in Osborne Street, which opened in November, particularly of toilets which did not stay open in the evenings.
