Tiny knitted goods flown out to poor African 'Fish and Chip' babies
THOUSANDS of knitted goods are being sent off to impoverished African babies.
They will be sent to African fish and chip babies - so named because the poor newborns are wrapped in newspaper for warmth.
The final count was 26 blankets, four sets of booties, 783 hats, 691 jumpers and 35 sets of mittens.
Event organisers, Alex Davis and Amy Turnbull, said they were overwhelmed with the response.

ts, perhaps you could ask some of your knitters if they would like to donate items to this wonderful cause.
