Just proves that the attackers are stupid and uneducated. Should be ashamed of themselves.

This type of attack will become more frequent I'm afraid, Muslims burning poppies etc and threatening the gay community, they may only have themselves to blame.

Your right in some ways, but the last time I checked "Asian" or asia covers a wide area. As does Europe or European. Nothing to suggest this woman is Muslim, and if she was, I dont believe she was burning poppies at the time. Just walking down the street in broad daylight seems to be her only crime.

My point is, the perpetrator may be tarring all Asians with the same brush, it does say that he shouted racial abuse at her. I doubt he asked to see her ID card before hitting her.

Also, 4pm on that day wouldn't be "broad daylight"....

Ice cool mark,

I get your point totally, most hate crimes are down to ignorance. whoever he is, but whatever he believes our town could do without it.
It could be anybody would have done to vent his anger, and it just so happened this poor lady was in the way.

One cowardly act though, attacking defenseless woman from behind. Maybe that's his way of showing his patriotism.

I am currently working overseas, and have been led to believe the nights are drawing out.

very true my2pworth, could have been a random act of anger, all my original point was trying to say was that you seem to hear about 'asians and or Muslims' antagonising 'white' people quite a bit lately. It only takes one person to assume that the person they want to hit is an antagonist or from their country of origin..
