Double rapist found dead in prison cell

A COLCHESTER man awaiting sentence for a double rape has been found dead in prison.
 

Paul Gigg, 30, of Chinook, Highwoods, was found unresponsive in his cell at Norwich prison on Sunday.
 

Gigg had previously admitted the double rape of a 20-year-old woman at the Kiss Weekender dance music festival in Great Yarmouth.

Rape is an appalling crime, and if someone is convicted of it then he must serve his sentence. But this sad little story exposes a massive scandal, that of deaths in custody. Hundreds of people take their own lives in police cells and prisons. Not nearly enough is done to try to stop prisoners from ending it all.
Congratulations to Jess for standing by his friend and telling us that Paul Gigg did a lot of good. RIP.
