Colchester MP Sir Bob Russell was among those who backed the petition
NORTH Essex MPs have given their support to a petition calling for the protection of the county’s coastline.
A quarter of a million signatures were presented to the government in support of Marine Conservation Zones.
Sir Bob Russell, MP for Colchester, Priti Patel representing Witham, John Whittingdale, MP for Maldon and Bernard Jenkin, MP for Harwich and north Essex, joined members of the Essex Wildlife Trust who collected 14,000 signatures for the campaign at the launch event in Westminster on Tuesday.
