A MISSING dog which sparked searches across Colchester has returned home.

Seven-month old black labrador Bella went missing from a house in Wivenhoe on Christmas Day.

Owners Yari Forster, 29, and Rosie Day, 25, had turned to Twitter, Facebook and other social media in a bid to find the family pet, and captured the public’s imagination.

Bella was finally found on Saturday shortly after 1.30pm close to Millfields Primary School – about five minutes away from where she had gone missing.

Rosie, from Stanway, said: "We can’t thank everyone enough for their help in finding her."

ok this is going to be contentious and I', glad the dog has been found.... but its just a dog, it doesn't have a "mummy and daddy" it doesn't understand Christmas- its a dog.

Maybe the Gazette could devote the same amount of space to something that really matters. maybe the plight of the homeless in the town.....or the number of sheep per square mile in tendring

What a sad and bleak world you live in!

It´s nice to have a bit of good news now and then. Is it because of the name catflap? Cats and dogs can be friends, you know - mine are!

What a sad, horrible, life you must have, and what really matters ?? The plight of the Alcoholics and Druggies that make up the homeless in Colchester. I know what I would prefer !
