Car "fire" halts A12 traffic

FIREFIGHTERS were called to the A12 at Colchester after reports a car was on fire.
Fire crews were called to the northbound carriageway, between junctions 27 and 28, just before 4.15pm on Tuesday.
When crews arrived they realised it was a false alarm.
Traffic was held at a standstill while firefighters assessed the scene.
